Structure & Rules
FlyHighTV will be hosting a wakeboard video and photo competition to promote the best of our sport, our passionate riders photographers and filmmakers, and our new streaming platform for wake movies. This contest is open to any rider or group of riders worldwide of any age. However, riders 16 and under require parental consent.
The contest will be for all disciplines winch, wake, and cable for both wakeskate and wakeboard; there will be no wakesurfing for this contest. There are 17 judged categories ($16,500), two popularity categories ($1,500), a most viewed streaming category ($4,000), and a most redeemed code category ($3,000).
- To Be Eligible For Early Bird Category, Entrants Must Be Signed Up for FlyHigh TV by 5/15/24
- Registration Due 7/1/24 (All members featured in video must have an active FlyHighTV subscription & follow us on Facebook or Instagram)
- Judges Announced 7/30/24
- Video Submission Closes 8/30/24
- Awards Announced 10/1/24 (Streamed exclusively on FlyHighTV)
Entrants agree to one year of exclusive hosting for the film submitted on FlyHighTV
Must have cleared music rights for the film.
Payments will be sent to the submitter/creator of the winning videos. By submitting, the creator acknowledges that he/she possesses the rights to the footage and has agreements in place with all riders featured in the film on how potential winnings shall be distributed
Contest Categories
Early Bird - $2,000 - Judged category for overall best video from early bird registration. This category is for the judges choice from the early bird registration by 5/15. Judges are looking for riding style, innovativeness, cinematography, and editing. This category is for any discipline or combination of disciplines: boat, cable, or winch.
Most Popular Video- $4,000- the most viewed video on FlyHighTV This category is pulled from FlyHighTV analytics. The video with the most views on web, Roku, and Fire TV wins.
Best Video- $3,000- judged category for the best wakeboard/wakeskate video. Judges are looking for riding style, innovativeness, cinematography and editing. This category is for any discipline or combination of disciplines: boat, cable, or winch.
Most FlyHighTV coupon code redemptions- $3,000- For the most coupon code signups. Each entrant will be given a coupon code for one free month on FlyHighTV the rider or team with the most free trial code redemptions wins.
Women’s Best Cable Trick- $1,000- judged category for the best trick.For women only. This category is for the best single trick on cable. Judges will consider technical difficulty, innovation, amplitude, and style. Best cable trick can be off of any obstacle, kicker, rail, grass etc. or an air trick.
Women’s best boat trick- $1,000- judged category for best boat hit by a female rider. For women only. This category is for the best single trick on boat. Judges will consider technical difficulty, innovation, amplitude, and style. Best boat trick is off the wake, but can be wake pipe/single wake, double up, or wake to wake.
Men’s best cable trick- $1,000- judged category for best cable hit by a male rider. For men only. This category is for the best single trick on cable. Judges will consider technical difficulty, innovation, amplitude, and style. Best cable trick can be off of any obstacle, kicker, rail, grass etc. or an air trick.
Men’s best boat trick- $1,000- judged category for best boat hit by a male rider. For men only. This category is for the best single trick on boat. Judges will consider technical difficulty, innovation, amplitude, and style. Best boat trick is off the wake, but can be wake pipe/single wake, double up, or wake to wake.
Best winch hit- $1,000- judged category for best winch hit. Judges will consider technical difficulty, innovation, style, and location uniqueness.
Best Still- $1,000- judged category for overall best wake photo. Judges will consider lighting, composition, difficulty of the shot, and moment of capture.
Most Popular Still $500- the most liked still photo on the FlyHighTV Instagram (can submit entry anytime after 5/15, posted as received). Photos will be posted on FlyHighTV Instagram, the most liked photo wins. Photographers are allowed multiple entries (limit 10).
Best Section- $1,000- judged category for best rider section. Judged category for the best wakeboard/wakeskate rider section. Judges are looking for riding style, innovativeness, cinematography and editing. This category is for any discipline or combination of disciplines: boat, cable, or winch.
Most popular trailer- $1,000- most liked trailer on FlyHighTV Instagram. Each video entry is allowed 1 trailer to be posted on FlyHighTV Instagram as received after 5/15. The trailer with the most likes wins.
Best crash section $1,000- judged category for the best crash section. The section with the hardest falls wins, this is open to any disciple: boat, cable, or winch.
Best crash- $500- judged category for the best crash. Hardest fall wins, this is open to any discipline: boat, cable, or winch.
Best grab- $500- judged category for the best grab. Judges are looking for the most stylish grab.
Best bs 1 $500- Judged category for the best backside 180. Judges are looking for style, amplitude, and technical difficulty.
Best backdrop- $500- judged category most creative spot. Most creative wake spot, open to any discipline: boat, cable, or winch.
Best one liner- $500- judged category funniest or best words. Judges are looking for the audio that makes them laugh.
Best doubles hit- $500- judged category for best doubles hit. Judges are looking for the most style, innovation, and technical skill from two riders in one frame. Open to any discipline: boat, cable, or winch.
Best homebuilt rail- $500- judged category for the best rail. Judges are looking for the most creative homebuilt rail. Open to any discipline: boat, cable, or winch.
